Well the fridge has arrived — which means the move is finally over. Just a few more boxes to unpack & we’ll be good to go!
While between houses I snagged an unbelievable bargain on a Nikon D80, mint condition, with battery grip & extras. Just had to nab a bargain 50mm 1.8 lens on eBay to complete the package, which arrived last week. Me happy. Plus my vintage 50mm 1.8 lens from 1979 fits & works beautifully (minus auto-focus of course)!
I have several new posts coming up soon as I’ve been pretty snap happy, and very at home in the new kitchen.
Here’s some sneak-peeks XD… (sorry for the under-exposed photos — still getting used to the camera!)

Hey peeps — been busy moving to a new hood — North Parra! w00t!
Sorry for the silence — been moving & now, NO INTERNET.
I’ve bought a new camera and have a small backlog of posts to put through soon.
See ya soon!
Like most shopping centres, Westfield Parramatta is filled with some pretty average food options. This little gem moved in a couple months ago and I’ve been drooling over it since.
This place makes me feel like Modern Family’s Gloria & Manny on a cupcake hunt, and Cupcakes on Pitt is not short of yummy options — creative cupcakes, giant cupcake-shaped cakes and macarons. The macaron selection is fairly small, but has the popular options – you won’t really find anything risky like at Zumbo or other joints.
They had a “no-photo” policy in the store so I won’t post any pics of the wares — which is unfortunate because they all looked delicious!
Cookies n’ Cream Cupcake – $2.5
Cupcakes On Pitt is perfect for an afternoon treat. This Cookies n’ Cream cake was one of the best I’ve ever had. Moist chocolate cake, almost like red velvet, buttercream frosting and a delicious Oreo atop.

A couple of interesting articles have appeared in NYTimes/TMagazine counting the virtues of Ramen & kind souls in hard times such as these.

A number of shop owners in Tokyo are hoping to offer something more than just hunger relief to those in Sendai.
